Pillar 2 · Chapter
Is Your Expertise Still Safe?
Whether AI can replace coaches, consultants, and advisors, what the research actually shows, and where the real risk lives.
Will AI replace coaches and consultants like me?
No, but the honest answer starts earlier: people hire coaches for outcomes, not coaching. AI made the information layer free, and the coaches who thrive put AI inside a done-with-you model and deliver fast, easy, and exciting results.
A client said AI gave the same advice I would. Should I be worried?
Not about the overlap itself: AI holds your field's consensus, so of course the generic layer matches. The moment is a message about what to charge for, and an opening to demonstrate the layer AI can't reproduce.
If AI can answer any question, why would someone pay for my expertise?
Because clients never paid for answers. They paid for certainty, application, and someone accountable, and free answers make all three more valuable, not less. The repositioning matters more than the reassurance.
